STORY BEHIND IGNITE

SOME FRIENDSHIPS IGNITE OUR PATHS.

I am dedicating "Ignite" to my dear friend Thomas Hitchcock Jr who passed away 10 years ago. He introduced the idea of going to the event in 1999 and eventually invited me year after year since 2000.  Every year I passed. Tom fought a hard battle with cancer which eventually took his life. Prior to his passing in July 2007, Tom urged me to finally go to Burning Man so I finally did that year. Every year I've attended I've always thought about him and thanked him. So for the 10 year anniversary of his passing, my 10 year anniversary at BM (and final year attending) I hope to share you with how much of a special experience it is... and perhaps someone will see this film and feel inspired to attend. Just as Tom opened the door for me.

I am also dedicating this film to the memory of Burning Man founder Larry Harvey.
